Construction Planner

About the role

We are partnering with a leading Irish contractor to recruit an experienced Construction Planner. The successful candidate will own the development, maintenance and monitoring of project programmes across the full lifecycle of large‑scale, high‑profile construction works.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, manage and maintain detailed project programmes from inception to completion.
• Monitor actual progress against planned works and identify programme risks or delays.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and ad‑hoc progress reports for project teams and clients.
• Analyse delays and recommend mitigation measures.
• Maintain baseline programmes and manage revisions.
• Review subcontractor schedules for design, procurement and construction.
• Produce Construction Master, Target/Working and breakout programmes for Shell & Core, Fit‑Out, MEP and Landscaping.
• Track sectional handovers and update associated reports and drawings.
• Update Sablono weekly and mentor new team members on programme management systems.
• Provide planning support to additional projects as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Planner within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project delivery.
• Proven ability to produce and manage construction programmes from start to finish.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
• Collaborative approach with confidence to work alongside project teams, subcontractors and clients.
