About the role

St James's Hospital, Ireland's largest acute academic teaching hospital, is seeking a Consultant Otolaryngologist to join its multidisciplinary team. Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist ENT (ear, nose, throat) clinical services across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement innovative patient‑centred care pathways.
• Participate in and drive clinical research projects, contributing to the hospital’s academic mission.
• Teach and mentor medical students, junior doctors, and allied health professionals.
• Engage in continuous professional development and uphold clinical governance standards.

Required profile

• Medical degree with full registration to practise in Ireland.
• Specialist training and certification in Otolaryngology.
• Demonstrated experience in a senior clinical role within a teaching hospital environment.
• Commitment to research, education, and continuous improvement.
