Corporate Counsel

About the role

Yomali is building its legal function from the ground up. As the second hire in the department, you will own the day‑to‑day legal workload, allowing the General Counsel to focus on strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full contract lifecycle for commercial, vendor, procurement and customer agreements.
• Provide HR and employment support, including offer letters, policy guidance, and disciplinary matters.
• Act as first‑line responder for consumer complaints and regulator inquiries, escalating litigation‑related issues.
• Handle corporate housekeeping tasks such as entity maintenance, resolutions, and basic IP administration.
• Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks and self‑service tools for business units.
• Partner with HR, marketing, operations and product teams as a proactive legal advisor.
• Identify and flag legal risks to the General Counsel with clear recommendations.

Required profile

• JD (or equivalent) and a license to practice law in the US, Canada, England & Wales, or Ireland.
• Minimum 4 years of in‑house generalist counsel experience, preferably in a consumer‑facing or technology company.
• Proven ability to draft and negotiate a high volume of commercial and vendor contracts.
• Solid understanding of employment‑law fundamentals; multi‑jurisdiction exposure is a plus.
• Comfortable building processes where formal playbooks do not yet exist.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong judgment.
