Country Manager – Ireland

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Country Manager for Ireland to lead customer relationships, drive innovation and growth across the market. The role will be responsible for strategic account management, partnership development and delivering Mastercard solutions to Irish clients.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain primary responsibility for managing all customer relationships, innovation, and growth opportunities within Ireland.
• Oversee account management activities for Irish customers, monitoring satisfaction with Mastercard products and services.
• Design and execute strategic and tactical plans to enhance customer growth and partnership.
• Develop strong, enduring customer relationships across operational functions such as fraud, marketing, operations, payments, and technology updates.
• Identify and promote strategic development opportunities that drive partnership innovation and growth.
• Implement customer solutions that enhance mutual business efficiencies and growth.
• Provide consulting services and leverage Mastercard brand sponsorships and product resources to deliver exceptional customer value.
• Partner with Customer Delivery Teams to identify and implement value‑adding processing solutions.

Required profile

• Extensive account management and sales experience.

• Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated leadership in building, leading, and developing high‑performance teams.
• Proven ability to develop and successfully implement quantifiable business plans.
• Deep knowledge of the Irish market and payment industry, with strong networking capabilities.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and vision.
• Strong analytical skills from a product‑management/profitability perspective.
• Outstanding written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
