Cyber Risk Analyst

About the role
We are seeking a Cyber Risk Analyst to support the CISO Office of a public sector organisation. The role is initially for 12 months, with the possibility of extension, and offers flexible hybrid working.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Cyber Risk Lead in delivering core cyber risk management activities.
- Conduct organisational cyber risk assessments and provide mitigation recommendations.
- Maintain and update cyber risk registers in line with governance processes.
- Monitor emerging regulatory trends such as NIS2 and assess their impact on cyber governance.
- Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly data packs covering KPIs, KRIs and risk trends.
- Escalate material cyber risks, overdue treatment actions and emerging risk trends.
- Track cyber risk treatment plans, owners, due dates and dependencies, and report blockers.
- Prepare risk reports, dashboards and briefing material for management.
Required profile
- Minimum two years’ experience in cyber or technology risk, compliance or audit, preferably within a health‑sector or similarly regulated environment.
- Proven ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders to identify, analyse, monitor and report cyber risks.
- Strong understanding of cyber security regulations and frameworks.
Required skills
- Knowledge of NIS, NIS2, NIST Cybersecurity Framework and ISO 27001.
- Experience with GRC or enterprise risk‑management tools.
- Ability to develop dashboards and analytical reports.
- Data analysis and risk‑assessment techniques.
What we offer
- 12‑month fixed‑term contract with potential extensions.
- Hybrid working – occasional client site visits required.
- 35 hours per week, hourly rate €31.70 (annualised €57,898).
- 30 days annual leave plus paid bank holidays.
