About the role
Arctic Wolf is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer 2 to join its Cork team. You will act as the primary point of contact for customers, helping them understand and remediate security incidents reported by the Security Operations Center.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior engineers on client projects and real‑world security challenges.
- Serve as the customer liaison for SOC‑reported incidents, analysing structural weaknesses and providing guidance.
- Produce technical reports and documentation to support customer environments.
- Troubleshoot security and technical issues with team assistance.
- Share basic security best practices with non‑technical stakeholders.
- Build professional, trust‑based relationships with customers.
- Analyze logs and events to identify patterns or potential threats.
Required profile
- 2–3 years of experience in cybersecurity or related IT fields.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Analytical mindset with a structured problem‑solving approach.
- Team‑oriented and eager to grow professionally.
Required skills
- Networking basics: TCP/IP, subnetting, common protocols.
- Operating system hardening: Windows, Linux, Unix.
- Security tools: firewalls, antivirus, IDS/IPS.
- Scripting: Python, Bash, PowerShell.
- Vulnerability assessment tools: Nmap, Nessus, OpenVAS.
- Incident response fundamentals.
- Familiarity with security frameworks: MITRE ATT&CK, NIST.
- Risk and vulnerability management, cloud infrastructure, SaaS tools, identity management.
