Data Centre Security Officer

About the role

Securitas Security Services Ireland is looking for an experienced Data Centre Security Officer to protect a prestigious client’s facility. You will work flexible hours, including nights and Sundays, ensuring the safety of people, assets and the overall environment.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for life‑safety and emergency response.
• Manage access control, visitor and vehicle screening, and tailgating response.
• Patrol internal areas, roofs, perimeter and out‑buildings, and conduct hostile surveillance detection.
• Escort asset deliveries and internal staff, and operate site‑specific specialist equipment.
• Monitor security systems, write incident reports and support audits.
• Coordinate with emergency services and participate in drills.

Required profile

• Proven experience in security or similar roles, with a focus on life‑safety.
• Ability to react quickly, follow client policies and escalate incidents when needed.
• Willingness to up‑skill and undertake additional training.
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) – desirable.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of €21.67 base, plus night allowance and Sunday premium (composite €24.25 per hour).
• Annual attainable salary of €53,111.65 based on a fully flexible contract.
• Minimum 36 hours per week, Monday‑Sunday schedule.
