Data Engineer

About the role

As a Data Engineer at Holafly, you will design, build, and scale high‑performance data pipelines that transform raw connectivity data into actionable insights. Your work will empower leadership and product teams to make real‑time, data‑driven decisions that support the company’s rapid international growth.

Key responsibilities

• Build and scale robust ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate diverse data sources into a unified, high‑availability ecosystem.
• Develop and maintain high‑performance APIs using FastAPI to expose data insights to internal services and stakeholders.
• Lead data transformations with DBT, ensuring the warehouse is modular, well‑structured, and ready for analysis.
• Optimize data structures and schemas for fast query performance in analytical and operational use cases.
• Automate data validation and cleansing processes to maintain data integrity and security.
• Drive technical innovation by implementing modern frameworks that enhance processing capabilities and reliability.

Required profile

• Proven track record in Data Engineering or a similar back‑end heavy role within high‑growth environments.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, especially for building and deploying APIs.
• Deep expertise in DBT for scalable transformation layers.
• Strong mastery of SQL for complex data manipulation.
• Solid understanding of modern data modelling and cloud‑based warehousing, preferably GCP and BigQuery.
