Datacentre Consultant – Pre‑Sales (UK & Ireland)

About the role

As a Pre‑Sales Datacentre Consultant you will partner with Account Managers and the Professional Services/Managed Services teams to design and sell on‑premise, virtualisation and private‑cloud solutions for UK and Ireland customers. You will translate strategic business challenges into technical architectures that combine on‑premise infrastructure with hybrid cloud platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert technical pre‑sales support for server, storage, disaster‑recovery and backup opportunities.
• Gather customer requirements and design cost‑effective end‑to‑end datacentre solutions.
• Produce high‑level designs, statements of work and proposals.
• Lead white‑boarding sessions with key stakeholders, both virtual and face‑to‑face.
• Maintain awareness of competitive offerings and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with vendors and service partners to certify solutions.

Required profile

• Strong administrative and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good understanding of datacentre processes, storage, backup and DR technologies.
• Methodical, self‑motivated and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
