Deputy Manager – Early Years Education

About the role

Tigers Childcare is seeking a Deputy Manager to lead a classroom team in Pembroke, Cork. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality early years care, supporting children’s holistic development, and ensuring compliance with national curricula.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a room and its staff to provide full‑time early years education aligned with Aistear and Siolta frameworks.
• Plan and implement curriculum activities that promote curiosity, care, consistency and high expectations.
• Mentor and coach team members, fostering a professional and inclusive environment.
• Maintain quality standards, health and safety procedures, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with centre management to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum Level 6 qualification in Early Childhood Care and Education (FETAC or equivalent).
• At least 3 years post‑qualification experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Fluent English, reliable, empathetic and detail‑oriented.

Required skills

• Curriculum planning using Aistear and Siolta.
• Leadership and team mentorship.
• Knowledge of early years regulatory standards.
