Desktop Support Technician – On‑site IT & AV Support

About the role

The Desktop Support Technician provides on‑site and remote assistance to office users, handling hardware, software, network, and audio‑visual issues. The role ensures all equipment is up‑to‑date, functional, and ready for daily operations and live events.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver on‑site and remote technical support for hardware, software, and network connectivity.
• Maintain accurate asset inventory, track equipment, and update records.
• Image, refresh, and configure computers and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot printers, software errors, and connectivity problems.
• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot AV equipment such as projectors, microphones, and video‑conferencing systems.
• Operate AV systems during live events and resolve any technical issues.
• Collaborate with senior technicians to resolve complex problems and improve support processes.
• Document support requests, resolutions, and equipment maintenance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or coursework in IT/AV are a plus.
• At least one year of office IT support experience; fresh graduates with strong learning ability are welcome.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and travel to client sites.
• Physical ability to lift equipment up to 50 lb.
