DevOps Engineer – Build Cutting-Edge Scientific Platforms

About the role

We are looking for a proactive DevOps Engineer to join a fast‑growing deep‑tech company at the intersection of AI, computational science and pharmaceutical innovation. You will design and build the infrastructure that powers advanced simulation and crystal‑structure prediction platforms, enabling faster drug discovery.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain self‑hosted CI/CD pipelines that developers love to use.
• Orchestrate containerised workloads across distributed clusters using Docker, Podman or similar.
• Build and operate observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, alerting) for real‑time system visibility.
• Develop infrastructure‑as‑code solutions with Ansible and automate provisioning.
• Collaborate directly with R&D teams and leadership to scale architecture and support scientific computing workloads.

Required profile

• Strong background in DevOps, Platform Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux, scripting and Python automation.
• Self‑starter attitude capable of working with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

• Docker / Podman (container ecosystems)
• CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins
• Observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, alerting systems
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code: Ansible
• Linux fundamentals and shell scripting
