DevOps Specialist – MES Programme (Limerick)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Specialist to lead the engineering and delivery practices for a large‑scale Manufacturing Execution System (MES) programme in Limerick. The role will ensure reliable, secure and compliant software delivery across development, testing and production environments within a regulated manufacturing setting.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for MES deployments using Azure DevOps, Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Manage source control, build automation, release management, monitoring and environment provisioning tools.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or Ansible and develop automation scripts in PowerShell, Python or Bash.
• Support MES environment configuration, version control, upgrades and deployments, including Emerson Syncade.
• Collaborate with development, testing, validation teams, MES vendors and system integrators.
• Embed automated testing, quality gates and GxP/CSV compliance checks into delivery pipelines.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot deployment issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Participate in disaster recovery, business continuity and change‑control activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a DevOps Lead or Senior DevOps Engineer in enterprise environments.
• Strong background with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Hands‑on experience with IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Advanced scripting skills in PowerShell, Python or Bash.
• Experience managing enterprise application releases and deployments.
• Background in regulated sectors (Pharma, Life Sciences, Medical Devices) and familiarity with GxP/CSV requirements.
