Director of People and Culture

About the role

This rare opportunity allows you to shape culture and strategy at a values‑driven national charity that has delivered essential services across Ireland for decades. Reporting directly to the CEO and sitting on the Senior Management Team, you will lead people strategy for a nationwide workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver a progressive people strategy aligned to organisational priorities
• Lead workforce planning, talent development, employee relations and recruitment nationally
• Oversee HR operations, employee relations, remuneration and performance management
• Build and embed an inclusive, values‑led culture across multiple locations
• Ensure strong HR governance and compliance with Irish employment legislation

Required profile

• Significant senior HR leadership experience, ideally partnering with executive stakeholders
• Proven track record in workforce planning, employee relations, organisational development and culture transformation
• Experience in not‑for‑profit, public or regulated sectors (desirable)
• Strong analytical capability using HR data and insight to drive decisions
• Third‑level qualification in HR, Business or Organisational Development; CIPD accreditation desirable
