Early Years Educator (AIM Support) – 30h & 15h positions

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic Early Years Educators to join our inclusive team in Cork. Three part‑time vacancies are available – one 30‑hour role and two 15‑hour roles – supporting young children with visual impairments and additional needs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences for children with visual impairments in individual, small‑group and classroom settings.
• Develop, implement and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each child’s goals and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, multidisciplinary professionals and colleagues to ensure holistic development.
• Maintain accurate records of learning, development and progress; produce clear reports for review meetings.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to service improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum QQI Level 5 qualification in Early Childhood Care and Education, Montessori Education or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• Experience working in an Early Years setting is essential.
• Experience with visual impairment or special educational needs is desirable but not mandatory – full training will be provided.

• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Basic IT competence and confidence using relevant software applications.
