Electrical Engineering Graduate – Dublin

About the role

Dornan is seeking an Electrical Engineering Graduate to join its Dublin office and support projects across Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe. You will work on live construction sites, gaining hands‑on experience with low and medium voltage systems, busbars, lighting, power distribution and diesel generators.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing reports, capital cost estimates, project schedules and material take‑offs.
• Support the creation and analysis of technical and contract documentation, including tender responses.
• Maintain delivery schedules, issue progress reports and develop look‑ahead programmes using MS Project.
• Prepare method statements, risk assessments and test packs for construction activities.
• Carry out quality‑control inspections, snagging and document control.
• Track contract variations and assist with financial control during the construction phase.
• Liaise with design teams, contractors and client representatives to resolve technical queries via the RFI system.

Required profile

• Currently working towards an Electrical Engineering degree (Level 8).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly to project sites.
