Electrical Technician - Wind Turbines

About the role

As an Electrical Technician you will keep wind turbines operating safely and efficiently. This hands‑on, field‑based position offers real responsibility, technical variety and the chance to work with cutting‑edge renewable energy systems.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out service, maintenance and repair work on wind turbines.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronic and mechanical systems.
• Perform fault‑finding and produce accurate technical reports.
• Work at heights while strictly following safety rules, site procedures and environmental standards.
• Participate in a weekend emergency call‑out rota as part of a close‑knit technical team.

Required profile

• Qualified Electrician or a degree in Electrical Engineering / Marine Electrotechnology.
• Full clean Irish Category B driving licence.
• Physically fit and able to pass a Working at Heights medical assessment.
• Valid Safe Pass card.
• Flexibility for weekend work, evenings and occasional nationwide travel.
• Residence within 50 minutes of Bantry (ideally within 45 minutes).
