Engineering Technician 1 – Weekend Day Shift

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Technician 1 to join Dexcom’s manufacturing team on a weekend day shift. The role supports equipment engineers in the improvement, installation, validation, and transfer of custom automated equipment used for scaling up production of Dexcom’s continuous glucose monitoring products.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for equipment installation, validation, and transfer projects.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional deployment teams and external suppliers to meet equipment specifications and timelines.
• Interpret schematics, diagrams, and written plans to perform testing, checkout, and troubleshooting.
• Test and analyze performance of electro‑mechanical assemblies using specialized test equipment.
• Operate, test, and maintain robotic and vision systems in a high‑volume manufacturing environment.
• Record test results, isolate faults, and prepare detailed documentation.

Required profile

• Experience with pneumatics, electromechanical systems, PLCs, and robotic equipment.
• Ability to read and work from schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical skills for test data interpretation and fault isolation.
• Effective communication and teamwork in a manufacturing setting.
