Engineering Technician – Medical Device Manufacturing

About the role
We are seeking an Engineering Technician to join a leading medical‑device manufacturer in South Dublin. The role is permanent, full‑time and based on‑site, supporting a high‑performing production team.
Key responsibilities
- Install, modify and maintain a full range of production equipment.
- Drive plant‑level improvements by reducing downtime, waste and breakdowns while up‑holding the highest engineering standards.
- Identify process‑improvement opportunities, work with internal groups and external vendors, and apply appropriate quality tools.
- Assess customer drawings and design changes, supporting their introduction into production.
- Maintain safety and housekeeping standards; report and correct unsafe conditions.
- Support operations by optimising existing processes to meet engineering work‑order and production targets.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise for validation documentation and activities.
- Analyse line data and statistics to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Participate in failure investigations and liaise with vendors, suppliers and local engineering shops.
Required profile
- Third‑level engineering qualification or National Craft Certificate with specialised training.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electronic systems used in high‑volume manufacturing.
- Proven experience in a high‑volume manufacturing environment.
- Analytical, scientific approach to troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency with standard PC applications.
