Environment, Health and Safety Manager

About the role

We are partnering with a leading international manufacturing client to find an experienced Environment, Health and Safety (HSE) Manager for their Ballymount site. Reporting to Group Health and Safety, you will be the primary HSE leader on‑site, driving a safety‑first culture and ensuring compliance with Irish legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and embed a safety‑first culture across the site.
• Ensure full compliance with all health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Support waste‑reduction, energy‑efficiency, resource‑conservation and environmental improvement programmes.
• Develop, implement, review and maintain HSE policies, procedures and management systems.
• Conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections and design safe systems of work.
• Plan, coordinate and manage internal and external HSE audits, supporting ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certification.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of HSE experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Irish health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Proven leadership ability to influence and engage staff at all levels.

• ISO 45001 implementation and auditing.
• ISO 14001 implementation and auditing.
• Risk assessment and workplace inspection techniques.
• Environmental management and waste‑reduction strategies.
