About the role
This permanent position provides senior‑level executive assistance to the Regional Executive Officer (REO) of the HSE South West. The role ensures the REO’s office operates smoothly by managing high‑volume communications, scheduling, and documentation.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high‑level executive assistant support to the REO, coordinating administrative activities that enable efficient office functioning.
- Lead strategic diary and schedule management, prioritising competing demands and aligning with organisational priorities.
- Manage, triage and coordinate a high‑volume REO email account, ensuring timely and appropriate responses to internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and organise meeting documentation, agendas and follow‑up actions for meetings attended by the REO.
- Support the General Manager and Executive Business Manager by providing concise briefing papers, data summaries and required documents ahead of the REO’s engagements.
Required profile
- Demonstrated experience in senior executive assistance within a public‑sector or large organisational setting.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and confidential information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interaction with senior stakeholders.
- Proactive approach to problem‑solving and ability to work autonomously.
