Facilities Technician – Intermediate

About the role

We are looking for an Intermediate Facilities Technician to join our Abbott Vascular site in Clonmel. The role is focused on ensuring the reliable operation of the building, plant and equipment supporting our healthcare manufacturing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical and building systems.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair faults to minimise downtime.
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors for specialised works.
• Perform complex maintenance tasks on HVAC, power distribution, plumbing and other critical infrastructure.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical drawings to guide repairs.

Required profile

• NFQ Level 6 qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 12 months of hands‑on experience in facilities or plant maintenance.
• Ability to work independently, apply standards and adapt processes when necessary.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
