Field Service & Installation Technician

About the role

Join DIGI Systems Ireland as a Field Service & Installation Technician, supporting a nationwide network of retail technology equipment. The role is split 50% between technical field service for Electronic Shelf Edge Labels (ESL), scales and food wrappers, and 50% installing ESLs in stores after conducting surveys.

Key responsibilities

• Provide remote and on‑site support for ESL systems, scales, wrappers and ePOS hardware, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
• Conduct pre‑installation store surveys, cut and fit rails, and install a high volume of ESLs each day.
• Manage inventory of installation stock, ensuring accurate stock‑in/stock‑out and obtaining sign‑off from store managers.
• Travel nationwide, including overnight stays, with all travel and accommodation costs covered.

Required profile

• Fluent English speaker and eligible to work in Ireland.
• Full, clean driver’s licence.
• At least 1 year of field‑based technical experience (advantageous but not mandatory).
• Physically capable of handling a demanding installation workload.
