About the role
As a Finance intern you will gain exposure to a range of finance functions, including month‑end reporting, budgeting, accounts‑payable invoicing, fixed‑asset accounting and costing.
Key responsibilities
- Work with the site on budget and forecast preparation and drive cost governance.
- Liaise with the Business Support Centre on vendor and invoice queries and drive resolutions.
- Assist the finance team with IDA grants and SOX audits.
- Prepare and input journals into financial systems.
- Support the financial accountant with accruals, pre‑payments and month‑end balance‑sheet reconciliations.
- Participate in the fixed‑asset annual verification process.
- Contribute to month‑end activities such as completing government surveys as directed by managers.
Required profile
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related discipline.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
