Finance Manager – Financial Reporting & Analysis

About the role
The Finance Manager will report directly to the Financial Controller and be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, planning, analysis, and balance‑sheet integrity. You will ensure that all financial processes are accurate, efficient, and compliant with established standards and controls.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packs, including consolidated financial statements.
- Lead financial planning and analysis activities to support senior leadership decision‑making.
- Conduct financial modelling, data analysis, and research for business strategy and performance review.
- Manage month‑end close, financial accounting, and reporting systems.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee VAT, RTD, Intrastat, and RCT/CIS reporting obligations.
- Support weekly commercial P&L reporting and performance analysis.
- Review project costings, labour allocations, and variance analysis.
- Assist with inventory and fixed‑asset management within ERP systems.
- Lead preparation of statutory accounts, corporation tax computations, and year‑end audit.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting cycles.
- Identify and drive process improvements through automation, Excel modelling, AI tools, and system enhancements.
Required profile
- Qualified Accountant with 5+ years of experience.
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
- Excellent analytical ability to turn complex data into actionable insights.
- Proven experience with ERP systems.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Microsoft Office tools.
