Finance Officer

About the role

CMS Distribution Limited is looking for a Finance Officer to join its fast‑paced Finance team. The role will support General Ledger activities, management accounts preparation and a range of financial reporting tasks across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts, accruals, pre‑payments and overhead analysis.
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and post monthly depreciation journals.
• Analyse actual costs versus accruals, investigate variances and produce balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Support month‑end close, business‑unit profit and loss reporting and year‑end audit processes.
• Manage intercompany accounting, including ledgers, reconciliations and liaison with group entities.
• Contribute to finance projects, system updates and continuous process improvements.

Required profile

• Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Accounting Technician qualification or part‑qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) considered.
• Experience handling high‑volume workloads and tight deadlines.
• Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
