Financial Accountant

About the role

An internationally recognised organisation is seeking a Financial Accountant (or Assistant Financial Accountant) to join its finance team. This role offers exposure to a broad range of financial activities within a fast‑paced, collaborative environment, ideal for an ambitious finance professional looking to develop their career.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, analyse variances and investigate discrepancies.
• Complete monthly reconciliations across relevant ledgers.
• Assist with the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Prepare statutory reporting requirements and liaise with external auditors.
• Provide financial analysis and commercial support to the wider business.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for financial reporting processes and systems.
• Contribute to ad‑hoc finance projects and other duties as required.

Required profile

• Qualified or Part‑Qualified Accountant.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Motivated, adaptable and eager to develop professionally.
• Commercially aware with solid business acumen.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage confidently with senior management.

Required skills

• Experience using financial accounting and reporting systems.
