Financial Accounting Specialist

About the role

The Financial Accounting Specialist will join the Finance team of PGIM's Shared Services Centre, reporting to the Manager of Accounting. The role is responsible for day‑to‑day general accounting activities across UK GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP for assigned legal entities, ensuring accurate and compliant financial results.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports in collaboration with business and Shared Services Centre colleagues.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and process journal entries using Oracle Financials.
• Support month‑end close, reporting deadlines and ongoing financial governance.
• Participate in the annual audit process and prepare management reporting as required.
• Handle intercompany and third‑party invoicing, monitor receipt collection and resolve outstanding balances.
• Maintain and enhance the financial control framework, including documentation of key processes.
• Contribute to projects aimed at improving financial processes, reporting quality and control environment.

Required profile

• Degree in a relevant discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification or part‑qualified accountant.
• Experience implementing and maintaining a control framework.
• Strong analytical skills.
