Financial Controller – International Business

About the role

We are partnering with the CFO of a fast‑growing international business to recruit a Financial Controller. This senior position will lead the finance function, providing strategic insight and a seat close to decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and annual management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to senior leadership.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Manage day‑to‑day treasury operations, including cash‑flow forecasting and monitoring foreign‑exchange exposure.
• Own the annual audit process and ensure statutory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Enhance financial systems, processes and internal controls to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Contribute to financial planning and strategic decision‑making, providing insight to the CFO and executive team.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with 5‑10 years of senior‑level experience.
• Background in group finance, commercial finance or financial control within an international context.
• Proven experience leading or developing finance team members, driving performance.
• Confident communicator comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables and data modelling.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and ability to implement process improvements.
