Financial Controller – Lead Finance Function

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function of a fast‑growing Irish‑owned SME with a turnover of over €30 million. The role will oversee day‑to‑day financial operations, support strategic decision‑making and drive continuous improvement across finance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the daily finance function and manage a small finance team.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and reconciliations.
• Oversee cash‑flow management, forecasting and budgeting.
• Produce expenditure analysis and support strategic budgeting cycles.
• Prepare year‑end audit files and liaise with external auditors.
• Manage relationships with banks, tax advisors and other external stakeholders.
• Identify and implement process improvements and finance‑system enhancements.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA qualification.
• Proven experience in a finance role within an SME environment.
• Strong track record of improving finance processes.
