Financial Controller – Market‑Leading Irish Business

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Controller to join a market‑leading privately owned Irish business based in the South East. The role offers exposure to commercial decision‑making, strategic projects and close collaboration with senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, balance‑sheet reconciliations and year‑end accounts.
• Develop presentations and insightful financial analysis for senior management to support decision‑making.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and long‑term strategic plans.
• Provide financial support and commercial insights to operational teams across the business.
• Monitor overheads and identify cost‑saving initiatives.
• Drive efficiencies and continuous improvement within the finance function.
• Support the CFO on ad‑hoc commercial and strategic finance projects.
• Liaise with senior stakeholders and external advisors as required.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA).
• Minimum 8 years post‑qualification experience.
• Experience in a Big 4 or Top 10 accounting practice.
• Background in a commercial, industry‑focused business.
• Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders.
• Ambitious and seeking long‑term progression.
