Food & Beverage Assistant (Full‑Time)

About the role

The Heritage, a luxury hotel and award‑winning spa in the unspoilt Laois countryside, is looking for an enthusiastic Food & Beverage Assistant to join its hospitality team. This full‑time position involves delivering a high standard of service to guests across the restaurant and bar areas.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests with a smile, eye contact and a warm welcome.
• Maintain a clean and tidy service station at all times.
• Prepare mise‑en‑place, set tables, stock stations and brew tea/coffee.
• Clear, polish and store crockery, cutlery and glassware while minimizing breakage.
• Take customer orders, promote menu items and recommend wines or spirits.
• Serve food and beverages efficiently and professionally.
• Uphold high cleanliness standards in the bar and restaurant.
• Handle guest complaints discreetly, escalating to management when required.
• Possess knowledge of the menu, wines and spirits.
• Perform any additional duties as directed by management.
