Food Safety & Quality Graduate – Technical Team

About the role

We are seeking a Food Safety and Quality Graduate to join the Technical team at our Slane production plant. This graduate‑level position will act as a bridge between R&D, sales and production, ensuring that all meat products are manufactured safely, legally and in line with both company and retailer standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update department documentation, including SOPs, risk assessments, HACCP plans and quality management records.
• Conduct scheduled internal audits and support external/customer audits.
• Log and investigate product complaints, perform root‑cause analysis and manage non‑conformance logs.
• Perform microbiological and chemical sampling of finished products and raw materials according to the sampling schedule.
• Assist with quality operations, procedures and document control.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and nutritional legislation.

Required profile

• Degree in Food Science, Agricultural Science, Nutrition, or a related scientific discipline.
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• HACCP training (advantage).
