Front Office Developer

About the role

The Front Office Developer will join NBCGF’s Front Office Team in Dublin to design, build and support trading tools used daily by the desk. Working closely with traders, you will translate business ideas into reliable, high‑performance applications that improve workflow efficiency and execution quality.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain front‑office analytics, workflow and automation applications.
• Collaborate directly with traders to capture requirements and deliver production‑ready solutions.
• Automate repetitive desk processes to increase speed, control and scalability.
• Apply AI techniques such as workflow intelligence, data extraction, anomaly detection and decision support where appropriate.
• Write high‑quality code with robust testing, monitoring and operational reliability.
• Provide day‑to‑day support, incident triage and rapid issue resolution for desk tooling.
• Perform business analysis across trading, risk and operations workflows.
• Own applications end‑to‑end, from design through ongoing support.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards, release practices and documentation.

Required profile

• Relevant degree (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance) or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong interest in financial markets, trading desks and front‑office workflows.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with front‑office users.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining quality.
• Proactive, curious and ownership‑mindset with a willingness to learn quickly.
