Full Stack Engineer – Innovation Team (Remote, Ireland)

About the role

Join the Innovation Team at Matomo to design and deliver privacy‑first analytics features. You will work remotely from anywhere in Ireland, collaborating directly with the CTO and senior engineers to turn prototypes into production‑ready components that become part of Matomo’s core platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and implement new backend (PHP) and frontend (JavaScript) features.
• Explore additional technologies such as Python and Node.js when required.
• Rapidly validate AI‑powered analytics ideas and integrate them into the product.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery from concept through deployment, ensuring quality and security.
• Document code, write automated tests, and share knowledge across the remote team.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of professional backend development experience, primarily in PHP.
• Strong ability to work autonomously in a small, fast‑moving team.
• Interest in privacy‑first, open‑source analytics and emerging AI technologies.
