Full Stack Engineer

About the role

Our client is looking for an experienced Full‑Stack Engineer to help build and scale a data‑driven technology platform. You will work closely with engineering, data, product and machine‑learning teams to develop back‑end services, APIs, data workflows and customer‑facing functionality for their forecasting product.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable back‑end services and RESTful APIs.
• Build modern web applications and contribute across the full technology stack.
• Develop and improve cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines and engineering tooling.
• Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists and product teams to deliver new features and enhancements.
• Build reliable, secure and maintainable applications that support a growing customer base.
• Optimise application performance, scalability and system reliability.
• Contribute to technical architecture decisions and continuously improve engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment activities.

Required profile

• Commercial experience developing full‑stack applications using Python, with exposure to Java, JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of back‑end development, RESTful APIs and modern web application architecture.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (preferred), AWS or Azure, together with relational databases and scalable design.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, infrastructure automation and version control in production environments.
• Ability to design, build, deploy and support reliable software solutions while balancing technical quality with business priorities.
