Full-Time Physiotherapist – Nursing Home

About the role

We are seeking a full-time Physiotherapist to join the CareChoice team at The Marlay Nursing Home. The role involves delivering high-quality physiotherapy services to residents, supporting their mobility, independence and overall well-being.

Key responsibilities

• Assess residents’ functional abilities, health conditions and rehabilitation needs through detailed history-taking and review of care plans.
• Develop, implement and regularly review individualized treatment plans that align with residents’ goals and evidence-based practice.
• Deliver interventions such as exercise programmes, mobilisation, manual handling techniques and post-surgical joint or spinal care.
• Monitor progress using measurable outcomes and adjust therapy accordingly.
• Educate residents, families and staff on injury prevention and self-management strategies.
• Participate in the management of the physiotherapy service, staff induction, manual-handling training and continuous professional development.

Required profile

• Qualified physiotherapist registered with the appropriate professional body.
• Experience working in a residential or nursing-home setting is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to delivering patient-centred care and maintaining accurate records.
