General Counsel

About the role

The General Counsel will act as a trusted legal business partner, shaping and implementing Kinisla’s legal strategy. Working closely with senior leaders, the role protects the company’s reputation, manages risk, and ensures compliance across all business functions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate, timely legal counsel to regional and functional leaders on a wide range of complex matters.
• Establish rigorous legal processes and governance, monitoring compliance with Kinisla’s ways of working.
• Negotiate, draft, and review commercial contracts, intellectual property agreements, and employment contracts in line with the company’s risk appetite.
• Collaborate with Centre of Excellence leads in M&A, IP, data protection, business integrity, and employment law.
• Research and evaluate risk factors, offering proactive advice on potential legal issues.
• Represent Kinisla before regulatory agencies, during audits and administrative proceedings.
• Select, manage, and oversee external counsel, including budgeting and performance feedback.
• Maintain and update legal policies and procedures to reflect regulatory changes.
• Work closely with the CEO, CFO, and senior leadership team, and communicate with external regulators and public authorities.

Required profile

• Qualified attorney, solicitor or barrister with a practising certificate in Ireland or the UK.
• Significant in‑house legal experience, preferably within a corporate environment or law firm.
• Proven track record of handling commercial contracts, intellectual property, data protection and employment law matters.
• Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage external legal partners.
