General Operative – Multiple Departments

About the role

ArraTipp is hiring General Operatives for its Ingredients site in Tipperary Town. The role covers a range of departments such as Evaporators, Bagging, Ingredients Kitchen, Multiskill Yard, Lactic Production and more, providing flexible support across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Provide break cover for plant operators across all departments.
• Maintain entrance lobbies, control rooms, yards, intake bays and external areas.
• Clean and sanitise canteen, toilets, changing rooms and other factory zones.
• Assist with dryer blockages, clean‑in‑place (CIP) operations and forklift duties.
• Follow Cleaning Instruction Cards and a ‘Clean As You Go’ policy.
• Sort waste into three categories to support the company’s green status.
• Carry out any reasonable management request within training and capability.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in a similar manufacturing role (dairy ingredients experience is a plus).
• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude in mechanised or automated environments.
• Ability to monitor processes via panel room screens and plant observations for long periods.
• Logical problem‑solving skills for root‑cause analysis.
• High motivation, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good documentation, interpersonal and communication abilities.
