General Operative – Production Team Member

About the role

The General Operative supports the production line in meeting daily output, waste, yield and efficiency targets. Working under the Shift Supervisor, you will ensure that all processes run smoothly, safely and in line with quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Meet daily production targets for output, waste, yield, efficiency and start‑up time as part of a team.
• Accurately record production data (downtime, waste, process sheets, non‑conformances) on the required sheets.
• Complete all quality tests and traceability steps according to protocols.
• Control and maintain production tools, probes and machine parts, reporting any misplaced items.
• Carry out food‑safety tasks to meet HACCP and health‑and‑safety requirements.
• Keep the work area, machines and equipment tidy, safe and hygienic.
• Operate equipment following training and approved SOPs.
• Report maintenance issues and communicate material needs to avoid line stoppages.
• Suggest improvements and adapt to changing processes.

Required profile

• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent understanding of food safety (HACCP) and health‑and‑safety processes.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Minimum 6 months experience in a fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and show flexibility.
• Proactive attitude with strong English written and verbal skills.
