Global BU Operations Controller

About the role

As a Global BU Operations Controller you will act as a trusted business partner to Operations leadership across Sulzer’s worldwide manufacturing footprint. You will provide financial insights, performance analysis and strategic guidance to support decision‑making while leading the Operations Controlling team.

Key responsibilities

• Drive operational and cost analysis at the factory level and own end‑to‑end controlling activities.
• Support cost accounting, actuals and forecast analysis, and develop the BU reporting framework.
• Lead the Controlling team for all factory legal entities and ensure compliance with global policies.
• Oversee planning, budgeting and forecasting processes at the Operations level.
• Create and monitor governance procedures and core finance management reports.
• Coordinate with Legal, Procurement and GPOs to implement risk management and cost accounting procedures.
• Identify and manage continuous‑improvement initiatives for the controlling function.
• Provide production and cost information for financial close, internal reporting and strategic projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial controlling within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong business‑partnering skills with senior Operations leaders.
• Leadership experience managing a multi‑site controlling team.
• Excellent analytical mindset and ability to resolve complex financial issues.
