Global Mobility & Tax Specialist

About the role

Winthrop Technologies is looking for a Global Mobility & Tax Specialist to join its finance & tax team. The role will support the Finance Director and Tax Manager in managing international assignments and ensuring compliant mobility and employment tax processes across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end global mobility processes, including pre‑assignment planning, cost projection, documentation and coordination with payroll, tax and finance teams.
• Coordinate short‑term, long‑term and permanent international assignments, and track frequent business travel.
• Act as primary point of contact for mobile employees, HR and key stakeholders.
• Support expatriate tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions and liaise with external tax advisors.
• Manage tax equalisation, gross‑ups, social security contributions and validate cost projections.
• Assist in designing expatriate compensation packages and ensure accurate processing of international compensation and benefits.
• Conduct benchmarking, salary simulations and cost projections for assignments.
• Collaborate with Operations Directors to align business needs with mobility and tax compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in global mobility and employment tax.
• Strong understanding of cross‑border taxation, payroll withholding and tax equalisation.
• Excellent organisational, analytical and detail‑oriented skills.
• Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across multiple countries and functions.
