Graduate Tax Processing Analyst

About the role

Join Northern Trust’s Custody Tax Operations team as a Graduate Tax Processing Analyst. You will support international withholding tax processing, handling client documentation and helping to maximise tax benefits for a global client base.

Key responsibilities

• Process, scan, record, distribute and file large volumes of tax documentation daily.
• Identify and execute opportunities to reduce withholding tax for clients.
• Escalate issues promptly and work with internal contacts to resolve queries.
• Monitor service level agreements and continuously improve client service.
• Review processes for automation or workflow enhancements.
• Prepare and file withholding tax (WHT) reclaims.

Required profile

• Strong educational background in Business, Tax or a related field.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and navigate obstacles.
• Excellent client‑service orientation and communication skills.
• High accuracy, attention to detail and strong analytical mindset.
• Numerical competence and problem‑solving ability.
• Team‑player who can support colleagues when needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe software.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
