Groundworker – Construction Site

About the role

We are Cunningham, a leading construction company operating across Europe. We are currently seeking experienced and talented Groundworkers to join our high‑performing team. Groundworkers play a crucial role in laying the foundation for structures, ensuring stability, safety and upholding our quality reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Excavation and trenching for foundations, pipes and other structures.
• Preparation of sub‑bases for concrete and paving.
• Installation of drainage systems, including pipes, manholes and soakaways.
• Concreting of floors, paths and driveways.
• Laying of paving, kerbs and edging stones.
• Removal of vegetation and debris from construction sites.
• Interpretation of construction drawings and specifications.
• Safe handling of tools and equipment while complying with health and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Safe Pass certificate for working on construction sites.
• Manual Handling training certificate.
• Civil site experience.
• Relevant experience in groundworks.

Required skills

• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Operation of excavators, dumpers and tampers.
• Use of various hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures in construction.
