Group Financial Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Group Financial Accountant to support group reporting, monthly consolidation, financial statements and the annual audit process. This role is ideal for a newly or recently qualified finance professional looking to develop their career in a fast‑moving, growing business.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare annual Group financial statements under IFRS and assist with the annual audit.
• Produce monthly and quarterly Group reporting deliverables and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Prepare subsidiary financial statements in line with FRS 101 and FRS 102.
• Analyse monthly subsidiary accounts and compile management reporting packs.
• Lead intercompany reconciliation processes on a monthly and annual basis.
• Research and apply technical accounting standards, including IFRS updates and growth‑related accounting treatments.
• Support finance transformation projects and improve finance systems and technology.
• Implement and monitor internal controls across the Group.
• Facilitate period‑close activities, including balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Collaborate with legal, company secretarial, tax, treasury and commercial finance teams.

Required profile

• Qualified or recently qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA member (newly qualified acceptable).
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience in financial reporting and consolidations.
• Exposure to IFRS, FRS 101 and FRS 102.
• Detail‑oriented, self‑driven and highly organised.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with both finance and non‑finance stakeholders.
