Head of Finance – Build New Finance Division

About the role

Realtime Recruitment, an award‑winning tech and transformation recruitment specialist, is creating a dedicated finance division. Reporting to the Leadership team, you will be the senior finance lead responsible for designing and building this function from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and lead a fit‑for‑purpose finance function for the Irish recruitment brand.
• Own core finance activities including budgeting, forecasting, month‑end close and management accounts.
• Develop robust reporting packs, KPIs and dashboards covering NFI, contractor performance, margins, cash‑flow and profitability.
• Partner with senior leadership on strategy, pricing models, margin improvement and investment decisions.
• Collaborate with the back‑office team to ensure smooth invoicing and timesheet management.
• Recruit, coach and develop a small finance team as the division scales, while remaining hands‑on.
• Ensure compliance with Irish accounting, tax and regulatory requirements, with future support for UK/US operations.

Required profile

• Strong track record in the Irish market with deep knowledge of local finance, tax and regulatory frameworks.
• 7+ years experience in finance recruitment and a solid network of clients and candidates.
• Proven experience setting up, restructuring or significantly improving a finance function, including systems and processes.
• Big‑picture mindset comfortable discussing commercials, pricing and margins.
• Highly motivated, eager to take on a fresh challenge and build something new.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders.
