Head of Finance

About the role

The Head of Finance will steer the financial strategy of Plusvital Group, an Irish‑owned nutraceutical business focused on equine health. Reporting directly to the CEO and the Board, this senior leader will support rapid international growth, capital projects and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and oversee financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and comprehensive financial reports.
• Manage cash flow, working capital and funding requirements.
• Conduct commercial analysis and drive business performance improvements.
• Design KPIs, monitor performance and report to senior leadership.
• Lead grant funding applications and ongoing management.
• Coordinate external audit, banking relationships and professional advisors.
• Support strategic initiatives such as acquisitions, partnerships and new facility expansions.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role.
• Strong commercial and strategic mindset.
• Expertise in financial planning, reporting and cash‑flow management.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience in manufacturing, nutraceutical, food, pharmaceutical or related sectors is advantageous.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, international trade and business growth projects is desirable.
