Head of Technical

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Technical to lead food safety, quality and compliance for an established food manufacturing business in the Fermanagh area. You will shape technical strategy, drive continuous improvement and strengthen relationships with major customers and regulators.

Key responsibilities

• Own food safety, legality and quality across the site, ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory and industry standards.
• Lead the technical function, providing direction to the technical team and driving improvement initiatives.
• Maintain HACCP systems, oversee audits, certifications and corrective‑action closure.
• Manage customer and retailer relationships, support new product development and ensure supply‑chain compliance.
• Contribute to business planning and strategic projects with senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in technical, quality or food‑safety roles within food manufacturing.
• Strong working knowledge of HACCP, food‑safety legislation and quality management systems.
• Experience managing customer, retailer and third‑party audits and corrective actions.
• Deep understanding of BRC, retailer requirements and supply‑chain compliance.
• Excellent stakeholder management and a continuous‑improvement mindset.
