Healthcare Assistant – Cork (Temporary)

About the role

This temporary position supports a residential care team in Cork, helping residents maintain dignity, independence, and a high quality of life. You will work closely with nurses and other staff to deliver compassionate, person‑centred care.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care, meals and mobility needs.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to monitor and report residents' health status.
• Create a welcoming environment for residents and their families.
• Encourage participation in social activities to enhance wellbeing.
• Document care accurately in line with organisational guidelines.
• Adhere to health, safety and infection‑control standards.

Required profile

• FETAC/QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities is preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Enthusiastic, empathetic and dedicated to delivering high‑quality care.
• Garda Vetting clearance required.
