Helpdesk Engineer

About the role

Ergo is looking for a Helpdesk Engineer to join its permanent team in Dublin 15. You will provide first‑ and second‑level support to a varied client base, both remotely and on‑site, and take part in Office 365 and Azure migration projects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 1st line support for Windows, macOS, iOS and virtual desktop environments.
• Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Configure, set up and resolve issues on macOS devices and iPhones.
• Assist with Microsoft 365 administration (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).
• Perform basic Active Directory tasks such as user creation, password resets and group management.
• Log, track and resolve tickets within agreed SLAs, escalating when necessary.
• Provide onsite support and help senior engineers with small projects and device deployments.
• Follow established security, compliance and operational procedures.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in an L1 IT Support or Service Desk environment.
• Proven experience supporting Windows OS and macOS.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 applications.
• Exposure to virtual desktop solutions (Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix, VMware Horizon).
• Experience with Google Workspace and Slack.
• MSP background is highly advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Microsoft certifications are a plus but not mandatory.
